Tekirdag Meatballs
The special recipe for these delicious meatballs was originally brought to the Tekirdag region of Turkey by migrants from Thessaloniki in Greece in the 1920s. The meatballs’ irresistible taste comes from the ingredients - a mix of beef ribs, ribeye steak and lamb, together with onions, garlic, parsley and spices. This mix goes through a double mincing process, before being left to stand for 24 hours to let the blend of flavours infuse together.
