Pınar and TEGV Collaboration: Design Geniuses Firefly

The Design Geniuses Firefly Education Program, carried out in collaboration with Pınar and TEGV, began its journey in 2023 to support education for children in the earthquake-affected region through the Yaşar Foundation for Education and Culture. By adding a new dimension to TEGV’s Firefly Learning Units, the project aims to foster a love of science among children living in the earthquake zone.

Through the Design Geniuses Firefly project, education continues for children affected by the earthquake in Adıyaman. In 2024, the project reached 1,500 children, and over the next five years, it aims to engage with 7,500 children in total.

The content of the Design Geniuses Firefly Education Program is structured around a “learning by doing, together” approach. Within the scope of the program, children are introduced to 3D printers, 3D design pens, electronic boards, sensors, motors, and recycled materials. At the end of the process, they are encouraged to develop a project that offers solutions to real-life challenges using these tools.
