Yaşar Holding from 1927 to Present
1927 - Durmuş Yaşar established his first shop, “Durmuş Yaşar Müessesesi”, in İzmir’s Stripers Bazaar, selling marine supplies and paint.
1941 - With the establishment of Turkey’s first paint workshop, the country’s first domestic paint products, “Yaşarin” and “Prepared Paint”, began to be produced.
1945 - The decision to grow and become a holding company was made.
1954 - The first paint production facility was established in İzmir Bornova, and the Dyo brand was born.
1965 - The Group took the first step of development with foreign partners by starting production with the Danish Sadolin company.
1965 - Turkey’s first micronized mining facility was established.
1967 - The first painting competition that organizing by the private sector was held.
1968 - The first printing inks were produced in Turkey.
1973 - Pınar Süt, the largest and first private sector milk factory in Turkey and the Middle East that produce with UHT technology, was established.
1974 - Altın Yunus Çeşme Hotel, the first tourism facility with 1,100 beds, opened its doors to its guests.
1974 - Yaşar Education and Culture Foundation was established.
1982 - Turkey's first private sector paper factory Viking Kağıt joined the Yaşar Group.
1984 - Pınar Su introduced the first spring water in non-recyclable packaging to the market.
1985 - Turkey's first cultured fish facility Pınar Deniz was established.
1985 - The first private sector integrated meat facility Pınar Et began operating.
1985 - The first private sector painting museum was opened.
1987 - Turkey's first fish feed production facility was established.
1996 - Yaşar Group entered the tissue paper sector.
1996 - Kemipex Joint-Stock Co. started operating in Russia.
1996 - The first integrated SAP application was implemented in Turkey.
1996 - Desa Energy was established to provide energy to the group companies.
1997 - Turkey's first integrated turkey facility was opened.
1997 - Pınar Süt's Eskişehir factory was opened.
2000 - HDF FZCO started operating in Dubai.
2002 - Yaşar University started education activity.
2003 - S.C. Dyo Balkan SRL started operating in Romania.
2004 - Dyo entered the Egyptian market with the Mediterranean Trade for Paints (MTP Co.) company.
2005 - Pınar Süt launched Turkey's first organic milk.
2005 - Dyo Boya produced Turkey's first nanotechnological paint.
2007 - Yaşar Group signed the United Nations Global Compact, which is based on volunteering.
2008 - Yaşar transferred its shares in BASF to BASF Coatings in line with the strategy of continuing its work in the market as Dyo Boya.
2010 - Construction paint production started in Russia.
2010 - Capacity increase investment in Pınar Dairy Eskişehir factory was completed.
2010 - Production started in Dyo Printing Inks' new factory investment in Manisa OSB.
2011 - Işıkkent Fish Processing Facility and Beydere Dairy Farming investments were completed.
2012 - Women's Empowerment Principles CEO Support Declaration was signed.
2012 - Pınar Dairy made the decision for Şanlıurfa Factory investment.
2013 - Pınar Institute started operating.
2013 - The foundation of the Pınar Süt Şanlıurfa Factory was laid.
2013 - Participated in the “Equality at Work Platform” established under the auspices of the Ministry of Family and Social Policies in cooperation with the World Economic Forum and aiming to minimize the gender gap in the economic field in Turkey.
2013 - Dyo Boya took over the right to use the Casati brand in Turkey, its assets and distribution network.
2013 - The foundation of Dyo Boya’s Powder Coating Factory in Turgutlu was laid.
2014 - Dyo Powder Coating Factory started production.
2014 - 2014 – Dyo Afrika LLC was established to carry out production, marketing and sales activities in the construction, auto repair and furniture segments in the African market.
